Huai’an Road Overpass Steel Box Girder Project

The Huai’an Road Overpass Steel Box Girder Project is an important urban infrastructure project aimed at improving traffic connectivity along the East and West Second Ring Roads. The project consists of multiple continuous steel box girder bridges, including mainline bridges and ramp structures, providing efficient traffic organization in a dense urban environment.

The project scope includes a 115-meter-long single-lane continuous steel box girder bridge for ramps, a 100-meter-long double-lane continuous steel box girder bridge at Tangu Street, a 105-meter-long double-lane continuous steel box girder bridge crossing Minxin River and Hongqi Street, and a 148-meter-long double-lane continuous steel box girder bridge at the West Second Ring Road. Together, these structures form a complete and efficient overpass system.

Steel box girder structures were adopted for their high structural stiffness, strong torsional resistance, lightweight characteristics, and long service life. They are well suited for fast construction under limited urban space while minimizing impact on existing traffic.
