Project Description

Zhonghua North Street Overpass Steel Structure Project - Shijiazhuang City

The Zhonghua North Street Overpass Project in Shijiazhuang City is a major reconstruction and expansion project based on the original Zhonghua North Street corridor. As an important urban traffic artery, the project provides a direct northbound connection from Zhonghua Street in Qiaoxi District to Zhengding Airport via the Zhangshi Expressway, significantly improving regional traffic efficiency and accessibility.

The overpass is designed as a complex five-level interchange comprising seven ramp bridges. Each ramp has a bridge deck width of 7.7 meters and a structural beam height of 1.5 meters. All ramp beams are arranged along planar circular curves in horizontal projection, placing high requirements on geometric accuracy and fabrication control.

The steel structure adopts Q345qD steel plates, with a total steel consumption of nearly 10,000 tons. The maximum span of the ramp bridges reaches 80 meters, and the maximum thickness of the main steel components is 32 millimeters, reflecting the large scale and high structural demands of the project.

In terms of deck geometry, the four-span bridge crossing the Shijin Canal adopts a single transverse slope of 1.5%, while the remaining three-span bridges feature varying transverse slopes, with a maximum slope of 1.5%. This complexity requires precise coordination between design, fabrication, and erection.

This project demonstrates strong capabilities in the manufacturing of large-tonnage steel structures, complex-curvature steel bridge girders, and high-precision fabrication for multi-level urban interchange bridges.

■ The 5-layer overpass is composed of 7 ramp bridges. The width of the bridge deck is 7.7m, the beam height is 1.5m, the total steel consumption is nearly 10,000 tons, the maximum span is 80m, and the maximum thickness of the main material is 32mm.

■ The horizontal projection of all ramp girder bridges is located in the plane arc curve, and the cross slope of the four bridge decks across Shijin canal is 1.5%; the cross slope of the other triple bridge decks is variable, with the maximum slope of 1.5%.
